This Car accident happened on May 16, 2000, in Elkhart Indiana. One of my friends, sixteen at the time, had a 1984 Pontiac Gran Prix. And he was driving it down the road. He didn't have a license or a drivers permit. And his car had no plates. So eventually a cop saw him and tried to pull him over. Well, my friend didn't stop, he used his 350 V-8 to RUN from the cops! He went threw about 6 red light before a guy driving on a suspended license pulled out on front of him.
He was going about 55-60 mph according to the police report,
when he hit the car. What happened when he hit the car was his
car just spun out. The other car spun a few times and went into
a parking lot...taking a $4,000 traffic light box with it. And
the only injuries my friend received was some cuts on his chin
from the glass on the road when he was ripped out of his car
by the cops. And a really sore back from when the cops put their
knee in his back while handcuffing him. And he lost a little
self-esteem when he was handcuffed to the bed at the hospital.
The other guy was in the hospital for a few weeks and had to
leave the state of Indiana. My friend has to pay about $3,700
to the City of Elkhart. After my friend spun out he tried to
start his car again and also pretended he had been knocked out
so the police would feel sorry for him...but it didn't work.
